Like, today. For WAIST. aka west african international softball tournament. aka, the beach!! I'm excited beyond words...the 30-hour bus ride to get to Dakar notwithstanding. but at least we'll all be together. most of us, anyways...
50-something peace corps volunteers + one bus + 30 hours= guess we'll find out today
by the way, i think hot season has descended upon us in Mali. take a look at the Bamako weather forecast and you'll see what I mean. I'll miss you, cold season...

Hi Stephanie,
I just called your cell phone hoping to reach you and at least leave a voice mail message. No luck. We miss you! Riley checked the weather in Mali yesterday, and it said 100 degrees. You are making it tough for us to feel good whining about any aspect of our cushy lives here.
We've been keeping up with your blog and really enjoy seeing the pictures. Are you OK? It feels like you are in another world. Please feel free to call us anytime if you want to talk. I can call you back on our dime if that helps.
